One of our most popular additions is BoxFit – a dynamic, heart-pumping class designed to boost your fitness, help you tone up, and let off some steam. Whether you’re already a member or just looking to mix up your routine, it offers something for everyone.

What is BoxFit?

It is a high-energy class that combines the fundamentals of boxing with a full-body workout. You’ll be working with gloves, bags, and pads, focusing on technique, cardio fitness, and core strength. Whether you’re punching out a combo or rotating through core stability exercises, it offers a challenging yet rewarding way to improve your fitness level.

One of the great things about BoxFit is that it’s scalable. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or you’re more advanced, our trainers will guide you through the techniques, ensuring you get the most out of each session. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to add variety to your strength training, helping you engage different muscles and keep your workouts fresh.

Why Add this to Your Routine?

  • Boost Cardiovascular Fitness: it isn’t just about throwing punches – it’s an excellent way to improve your heart and lung capacity. By alternating between high-intensity drills and more controlled movements, you’ll build your endurance and strengthen your cardiovascular system.
  • Toned Arms & Core Strength: Looking to tone up? BoxFit is particularly effective at targeting the arms and core. Our member Siobhan has experienced this first-hand, crediting it for helping to tone her arms, which is a common goal for many women. The rotational movements involved in boxing, along with the stabilisation required for each punch, provide a great workout for the midsection, too.
  • Stress Relief: There’s nothing quite like punching a bag to release tension! BoxFit offers a fun and active way to relieve stress while boosting your mood. Whether you’ve had a tough day at work or just need to blow off some steam, this class can be a great mental reset.
  • Variety in Your Workouts: If you’re already hitting the gym floor regularly for strength training, BoxFit provides the perfect complement. It offers a different kind of intensity, working your body in ways that traditional weights and cardio machines don’t. Plus, with its fast pace and constantly changing drills, you’ll never get bored!

How and When You Can Book BoxFit at MaxFit

We run our BoxFit class once a week, every Monday at 7 pm, with a maximum of 12 people per class to ensure everyone gets the attention and coaching they need. Each class is priced at £7, and the best part? You don’t need to be a member of MaxFit to book in!

To book your spot, simply email us at support@maxfit.co.uk to be set up with a free account on our booking app. From there, you can easily secure your place and manage future classes.

Trained by the Best

At MaxFit, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality coaching. Both Shane and Amy, our BoxFit trainers, have gone through training with the Hatton Boxing Academy, giving them the skills and knowledge to deliver a top-tier experience. We’re also excited that another of our trainers, Kirk, is currently working towards his certification, so we’re planning to expand our offerings even further in the future!
